St. Brendan Little Navigators, Five & Under Ministry & Sunday School

What makes our community so unique?  St. Brendan has a special ministry dedicated to giving families with young children the opportunity to get together at parish and social events, long before they embark upon their Catholic School journey.

Five and Under Ministry, aka the Little Navigators
Volunteering with our Five and Under Ministry of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, known as the Little Navigators, is a wonderful way to meet fellow parishioners and parents. Our group is committed to enhancing the spiritual and social experiences of preschool age children preparing to enter Kindergarten. We organize annual holiday parties as well as coordinate the after-mass hospitality, a time when families can socialize while enjoying doughnuts and coffee in the church hall.

Sunday School
From September through May of the academic school year, Sunday School is a wonderful way to incorporate and instill Catholic traditions in your family life. Bring your littlest church-goers to 9:30 Mass on Sundays, where Father Mike will present a special blessing to the children before they attend class in the Kindergarten Chapel with Sister Joy. We introduce the children to various Catholic traditions and lessons varying with the season. Adults are always encouraged to accompany their children.

Why Volunteer at St. Brendan Parish and School Early?
  • Make Connections: Meet staff, teachers, and other families in a friendly, supportive environment.
  • Get a Head Start: Gain valuable insight into how our parish and school operates, making the transition to kindergarten smoother when the time comes.
  • Be a Role Model: Show your child the power of giving back and being involved in their future learning community.
  • Have Fun! Volunteering is a great way to be a part of exciting activities and events that bring the whole community together.

We’d love to have you involved, even if your child is still a few years away from kindergarten.  Let’s work together to continue St. Brendan's commitment to our faith, connection, growth, and community for everyone.
