Sundays at Saint Brendan's
Everyone needs a little sustenance to get through the journey of life. As a Catholic community seeking to find our way together, we are strengthened by our common worship every Sunday, and we invite you to join us on Sundays. Regardless of your beliefs or background, everyone who comes on our campus is an honored guest.
At our 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, you can expect uplifting contemporary music and lots of families and children. On most Sundays during the school year, youngsters 3 years old through kindergarten and their siblings are invited for a kid-sized experience during Mass in a high-energy faith enrichment program called Voyagers. Using our state-of-the art HD Multimedia system and highly-trained "cruise directors," children learn about their faith at an age-appropriate level. And of course there'll be plenty of time for fun and play! You can get answers to frequently asked questions or register for the program here.
If you prefer a more traditional experience, our 7:30 a.m. Mass is shorter and quieter with beautiful low-key music. Our other Masses (11:30 a.m on Sunday and 5 p.m. on Saturday) are cozy, intimate experiences with solo piano music and smaller crowds.
Each liturgy is a celebration. The music inspires us. We are taught by God’s Word, edified by uplifting preaching, and fed by the Eucharist. With our new state of the art sound and lighting systems, HD projection and streaming video in the vestibule (coming soon), you won’t miss a word.
Our friendly greeters will welcome you with a smile and a handshake. After Sunday morning Masses (9:30 and 11:30 a.m.), kids zip around the parish hall, doughnut in hand, while families connect over a hot cup of coffee.
If you need a quiet place for serene and peaceful meditation to keep you on an even keel during the week, our new adoration chapel in the vestibule of the church is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m - 4 p.m..

Sacraments & Rites
Ever since Jesus calmed the storms in a fishing boat, the Church has been seen as a seaworthy vessel, rocked by many currents, but never submerged. We traverse the sometimes troubled seas of this world with the strength of the sacraments and rites of the Catholic Church.
We baptize children with joy and form them as disciples of Jesus through our sacramental preparation and religious education programs. For a description of our guidelines for baptisms under the age of 7, click here.
Our weddings bring couples together for life as signs of God’s love in the world.
When, like Peter, we start sinking in turbulent waters, caring priests reach out the hand of Christ through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
We anoint the sick and pray over them and take the greatest care with funerals. At every stage of life, we are there to strengthen each other. Call us at (415) 681-4225 for anything you need or click on the contact us button below.

Opportunities for Prayer
Everyone needs prayer - whether it’s for ourselves or the loved ones in our lives. Although most of us encounter challenges on occasion and ask for help from God, sometimes we just need an opportunity to say “Thanks.”
