Adult Faith Formation

Christian formation
- Jesus and his Bride, the church. We read, study
and discuss our magificent teachings and current
events affecting the Faith. There are no fees, just
come with a loving heart and an open mind. Classes
are on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at
the Rectory.

Bible class - One
hour weekly sessions are held on Wednesday at 9:30
am. The aim of this study is to deepen our
understanding of the Word of God and to discover
God's plan in the universe and in each one of us.

Church history -
This class helps us to discover how the plan of
salvation is taking place in all human events
because Christ is truly present in our lives and He
is the Head of the Church and the Light that
overcomes all darkness.

Legion of Mary -
Please join us on Mondays at 7:15 pm in the church.

Retreat for busy
people - This ministry is an opportunity to
deepen ones's relationship with God through
reflection and / or meditation. Each retreatant sets
up his/her own schedule. Spiritual direction is part
of the program.

Rite of Christian
Initiation for Adults - Our RCIA program
welcomes all adults who are interested in becoming
Catholic. Catholic adults who wish to update their
faith or who have not been confirmed or have not
received Eucharist, and non-Catholic spouses of
interfaith marriages.
- Small faith
sharing group- This is a weekly gathering of a
small group of people to read, break open, and share
the Word of God. The sharing goes beyond the words
to the heart of Jesus' message. Its dynamic tends to
foster a climate of affirmation, caring and trust
disposing the participants to be open to each other
and God's spirit in a surprising way.

under five to strengthen the spirituality of the
youngsters through potlucks, church and play
activities, liturgy for toddlers and pre-schoolers

High School Youth (Young
Navigators, Grades 9-12) - More information will be

Young Adults (The
Navigators) - Young adults are invited to gather and
embark on a path that would enrich their spiritual
journey through prayer and faith sharing experiences, to
nurture a vibrant Christian life, to encourage active
participation in the parish community and ministry,
and to make lasting friendships among young adults in a
non-judgmental and welcoming peer environment.

Experienced Navigators -
This ministry seeks to serve the 60 and above members of
the parish, both men and women, through spiritual,
social, and cultural activities. Activities are
scheduled, at least, once a month.
Grief ministry - A
Committee of several parishioners offering support and
consolation to individuals and families who have
suffered the loss of their dear ones, and desire to
receive this help.
Music ministry

Retrouvaille - A
program offering tools
needed to rediscover a loving marriage relationship.
Right to life
The Society of St. Vincent de
Paul - an international Catholic organization of lay
persons who seek, in a spirit of justice and charity and
by person-to-person involvement, to help those who are
in need.
Vocations ministry -
This is a ministry that
encourages a broad parish support of vocation programs.
It is also an avenue for a better awareness of vocations
in the parish.
Welcoming Committee -
The mission of the Welcoming
Committee is to carry out the spirit of inclusion and
build the parish community by conveying to the new
members our warm welcome.
Women at the Well - This
ministry is an opportunity for women who are looking for
different ways of participating in our parish life.
Spiritual and social activities are scheduled according
to the availability of the members.

Advisory board - In
accordance with the spirit of the Second Vatican Council
the St. Brendan's Advisory Board was established in
June, 1982 with the purpose of encouraging and promoting
the Parish community. The Advisory Board assists the
clergy in ministering to the members of the Parish in
their spiritual and material needs. It is made up of
administrative and elected leadership of the Parish. All
members of the Parish are welcome to attend the meetings
of the Advisory Board.

Men's club - The
main purpose of the Men's club at St. Brendan's is to
bring together all the men of the Parish for a better
sharing in the Parish Community and to assist in
establishing, promoting and funding of St. Brendan's
School athletic activities. Membership is open to all
the men of the Parish. The major events sponsored or
co-sponsored by the Men's Club include: dinner meetings,
Auction & Raffle, the Parish Picnic, and the Communion
Breakfast.
Mothers' club -
The Mothers Club is comprised of all mothers who
currently have children attending St. Brendan's School.
They join in a spirit of Christian fellowship for the
purpose of fostering that friendship and to support the
financial needs of the School.This year the Mothers Club
will sponsor and co-sponsor the following activities:
Fall Bake Sale, Christmas Boutique, Spring Bake Sale,
Auction 61 Raffle, Scrip Program–Ongoing.
