Liturgical Ministries

Children's Liturgy

The liturgy is designed to deliver the Liturgy of the Word to the children (Under 5, K - 2) in words that are more understandable to them. The Liturgy is reinforced by related stories, crafts and other activities. Parent volunteers lead the weekly sessions and are often assisted by 6th - 8th graders.

Sessions:
Sundays during 9:30am Mass and one or two meetings a year. We take the children from church to either the Convent conference room or the Parish Hall.

Music Ministry

Contemporary Choir ( at the 9:30 am Mass)

Our Mission is to provide spiritually uplifting music that encourages the congregation to participate in song and praise. Just as St. Augustine said, "He who sings prays twice." All are welcome to join our fellowship of song and prayer. We are more than just a choir. We provide spiritual support and prayers to our members.

Rehearsals:
We meet every Sunday at 9:00am to practice before the 9:30 Mass. AS needed, we have rehearsals usually on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 pm, and in preparation for special holidays, such as Christmas.

Traditional Choir (at the 11:30 am Mass)

Our goal as a choir is to develop our God - given talents to enhance the liturgy and to lead the congregation in prayer and worship through music. We generally sing traditional-style hymns, but we love to try new ones too. We are very welcoming choir, so please come join us!

Rehearsals:
Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 7:30pm in the Church and again 11:00am on Sundays to rehearse before the 11:30 Mass

Sacristan

Sacristans help to set up before masses and clean up afterwards, giving the priest time to prepare for Mass and visit with the people. They coordinate with altar servers, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, musicians and ushers to ensure that everything needed is in place before mass begins.

Liturgy Committee

To prepare for each liturgical season, the Liturgy Committee meets to plan the environment and the liturgies, coordinating with musicians, ushers, lectors and presiders to ensure that the liturgy flows beautifully and smoothly. It's detailed work in planning but it pays off when the liturgies go off smoothly.

Meetings:
We meet usually just before each major liturgical season like Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter.
